Pete Martin mandolin jazz

Jazz-Mandolin.Com is the creation of Seattle mandolinist Pete Martin. He has been a professional musician since the late 1970's. He is a past National Adult Fiddle Champion, top 5 Winfield mandolin contestant as well as a veteran of numerous Seattle area bands. He has published 12 books on mandolin and fiddle music and technique and is a regular instruction colomnist for Mandolin Magazine.

When he started to seriously study Jazz a few years ago, he saw a lot of Jazz instruction, but very little for mandolin, especially for the bebop and post bebop era of the mid 1940s to early 1960s. His study of this era lead his to create Jazz-Mandolin.Com to help others eager to learn this style of Jazz.

Pete teaches in person in Seattle and Issaquah, WA and Skype lessons to anywhere. More information on his private lessons is here.
